Program information

Step into the heart of reserve life with GVI’s sister organisation, Bushwise, on the Practical Wildlife Management course. For 6 or 12 months, you’ll swap classrooms for the African bush, learning how to run and maintain a working game reserve. From habitat management and anti-poaching support to lodge operations and wildlife monitoring, every day offers new skills and challenges.

Based in South Africa’s Lowveld, near the world-renowned Kruger National Park, you’ll train in Big Five country while gaining real-world experience. Whether your goal is a career in conservation, reserve management, or wildlife tourism, this course gives you the practical foundation to get there.
