LANGUAGE IMMERSION VOLUNTEERING
Language Immersion is an integral part of volunteering with GVI. We believe that being able to speak the local language is essential to getting the most out of your experience abroad. Whether you are volunteering on critical community development projects or volunteering at a local school, having a basic understanding of the local language can go a long way.
While all our programs offer an introduction to the local language to help you get around, we offer Spanish language immersion courses as add-ons to our community projects in Mexico and Costa Rica. Depending on the duration of your project, the course will consist of 20, 40, or 80 hours of lessons with a native speaker. Be sure to read these 5 Tips To Help You Learn Any Language!
