-Introduction by Rachel Keating, article written by Monica Quesada

Here at GVI we have been conducting studies on the rates of predation of sea turtles by jaguars for many years now, but it seems that news about our jaguars and their unusual habits has spread.

We were visited a few weeks ago by a journalist wanting to write a report on the jaguars in the area. She came with Stephanny Arroyo, a Costa Rican postgraduate student with whom we work closely in our jaguar research. They stayed for a few days and were lucky enough to be here at the time when we got our first turtle kill of the year.
