Volunteer in Australia
Volunteer in Australia with GVI and get up close and personal with the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven natural wonders of the world!
Whether you are on a gap year, volunteering holiday or a career break, contribute to vital conservation efforts in North Queensland. This area is the gateway to the reef and the famous Australian outback, both home to a diverse range of animal and plant life that are in danger of habitat loss.
If you are under 18 and still want to explore all that Australia has to offer, take part in our Academic Exchange Programme and spend up to a year discovering Sydney, living with a host family and attending a local high school.
GVI has been operating volunteer projects all over the world for the past 14 years, and our projects in Australia are no different. We are proud of our approach of establishing long-term and sustainable projects, in which the local community is always consulted first and foremost in order to determine their needs. With the contribution of volunteers, we work together in partnership to achieve these goals.
