A life without education is a life without opportunity. A child’s development, not only in terms of education, but also the social, physical and personal aspects, relies on the quality of education they receive.
In low income areas, such as the ones we are active in, access to education is extremely limited. Through our projects, GVI and our partner organisations are able to provide children with a safe environment with support, supervision, socialisation and education on a range of subjects including English, mathematics and art. English teachers are our most commonly requested resource throughout the communities and schools we work with, a request our volunteers help us fulfil.
By giving children a solid base education with skills, goals and aspirations, we can change their circumstances, improve their opportunities, and they can ultimately be a generation to break the cycle of poverty in their community.
