Siem Reap is a must-see destination in Cambodia, packed with culture, history and adventure. Here are seven things you can’t miss in this vibrant city:

1. Angkor Wat: The world’s largest religious monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Angkor Wat is the ultimate must-see in Siem Reap. This world-famous temple complex is the largest religious monument in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s seriously stunning and offers a ton of history. You’ll be blown away by the architecture and learn all about the Khmer Empire. Add it to your itinerary and get ready to be amazed.

2. Old Market (Psar Chaa)

The Old Market, also known as Psar Chaa, is a bustling hub of local culture, food and souvenirs. You can shop till you drop, try tasty local snacks, and immerse yourself in the vibrant vibes. It’s the perfect spot to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs and get a real feel for the city. 

3. Spend an evening at the night market

The Siem Reap night market is the spot for all things vibrant and local. Located along Sivatha Boulevard, this market comes alive after sunset and offers a ton of colourful stalls and local vendors. 5. Visit the Artisans d’Angkor

This non-profit organisation is all about preserving and promoting the traditional arts and crafts of Cambodia. You can watch skilled artisans at work, learn about their techniques, and even take a guided tour. Plus, you can support local artisans and take home a piece of Cambodian culture.

6. Take a cooking class at the Cambodian Cultural Village

This interactive spot offers the chance to learn about the ingredients and techniques used in traditional Cambodian cuisine. You’ll even get to try your hand at making some dishes yourself.

7. Visit the Angkor National Museum

This museum is packed with artefacts from the Angkor period, giving you a ton of insight into the Khmer Empire and its people. You can see a variety of sculptures, carvings, and other objects, plus there are interactive displays and multimedia presentations that bring the history to life.
