In November 2024, the GVI team is taking students from Havergal College on a 10-day expedition to Chiang Mai in Thailand!

What to expect from your expedition:

We’re inviting all Havergal College parents and students who are interested in joining this expedition to Thailand, to attend our information evening.

The information evening will be hosted soon! Once you sign up, we’ll be in touch with details and will provide you with all the information you need. You’ll also get the chance to ask all your questions!

What the information evening will cover:

  • Find out more about GVI and why these school group expeditions are so special.
  • Learn more about your specific expedition and the GVI hub you’ll visit.
  • Go through the itinerary details, impact projects and activities.
  • Learn more about the support, health and safety and ethical guidelines of the trip.
  • Ask questions and get feedback from GVI and school staff.
  • Connect with fellow parents and students who are joining the program.

Can I fundraise for my program?

Yes, many participants have successfully raised funds to cover their program fee. We have a comprehensive Fundraising Manual to guide you through the process.

What are the payment options available for this trip?

We have three different payment options: full payment upfront, instalment plan and fundraising plan. Visit our payment plan page for more information on these options.

How do I know my spot has been secured?

Once you apply, you will be asked to process at least a deposit payment to secure your spot after which you will be contacted by a dedicated support coordinator.

What is the minimum group size?

We require a minimum of 12 students to guarantee the group’s departure.

What happens if we don’t meet the minimum group size?

We will do everything we can to ensure the trip still goes ahead! In the event that this number is not achieved, we will discuss alternative arrangements, which could be a surcharge, merging with another group or joining an under-18 program with GVI. Your fee remains refundable up until the point a group is confirmed. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

Are flights & travel insurance included?

In most cases, flights and travel insurance are not included unless otherwise stipulated by your GVI representative

What is the staff to student ratio?

GVI has a 1:12 staff to student ratio. Our average chaperone to student ratio of 2:12.
