Support and Services
“GVI provided enough information to convince me to change my life. Support from the UK office and contact from the staff in the field prior to departure reassured me that I could undertake this experience with confidence. I have no hesitation in recommending GVI to people considering this kind of life changing adventure.”
Steph Thorns, Guatemala volunteer, 2007
Since our inception in 1998, GVI has worked hard to become one of the most well respected volunteer organisations in the world. Our high-profile partners expect well informed and well prepared volunteers to join them volunteering abroad, whilst our volunteers expect to make a real difference when undertaking volunteer work. It is this commitment to our volunteers and to our partners that has been key to GVI’s success as an ethical volunteering organisation.
Below you will find further information about GVI’s commitment to you. All aspects are constantly reviewed, updated and improved so we can offer you a comprehensive support structure that will ensure peace of mind for you in the field, and for your family and friends back at home!
GVI assure quality to you in the following ways:
- All GVI Staff are experienced and highly knowledgeable. Our staff visit the project sites regularly, and have all volunteered (many with GVI) and travelled themselves, so have in-depth and up to date knowledge about each project, destination, and things to do and see in the project destination. Our staff can also offer top advice on travel issues and what to take when volunteering overseas
- All GVI projects are fully researched, managed and regularly assessed to ensure your safety and enjoyment
- GVI offer unparalleled in the field support through Global Vision International’s network of regional offices which employ over 150 field staff all over the globe.
