Arrival And Departure Information

You will need to fly to Ecuador's international airport ‘Mariscal Sucre' (UIO), in the country’s capital city of Quito. Our expedition staff are available to meet you at the airport and transfer you to a hostel in the city if your arrival is scheduled for the day prior to, or the morning of, the expedition start date. Please make sure you arrive before the start date of the expedition or by 10 am on the first day at the very latest.

At the end of the first 5 weeks in Ecuador, volunteers will have the option of travelling back to Quito or travelling on at their leisure. At the time of booking volunteers must also have confirmed their start dates for the additional programs with their local GVI office – so you may wish to travel straight on to the next project or take time to explore the region before the next start date.
