Included Side Trips
In the case of unfavourable weather or sea conditions, the boat stays in the harbour or in a sheltered bay. Participants may decide to stay on board helping the researchers with data analysis and work on the computer, to attend lectures held by the researchers or visit the surrounding area – along the 'Riviera' there are a number of beautiful villages and towns for shopping or sightseeing. One may also choose to explore the Oceanographic Museum in Montecarlo, the botanical gardens at Hambury House or an important prehistoric archaeological site, Balzi Rossi and wonderful medieval villages. Optional excursions with specialised guides, not included in the cruise fee, may also be organised.
