What's Included

Airport pick up and drop off, first night's accommodation in the Mandap Hotel, a three-day orientation, including an introduction to the Nepali language and culture, accommodation in a local family home-stay, two meals a day, a day tour of Kathmandu. GVI’s Pre-departure support and discounted services, a 24-hour emergency phone, 24-hour in-country support.

What's Not Included

International flights, visa costs (which vary from $40-$100 depending on how long you stay), medical and travel insurance.

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information

Volunteers should get a return flight to and from Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu (KTM). More detailed information will be provided once your booking is confirmed.
