Volunteer with Orang-utans In Sumatra
Ivona Foitova - Project Director
Ivona is the project’s Director. Having initially qualified as a Veterinary Doctor she went on to achieve a PhD in Wildlife Disease. She founded the project in 1995 after becoming interested in natural medicines for the treatment of wildlife during her study of Veterinary Medicine.
Clare Hunt - Project Assistant
Clare joined us in April 2005 as a Project Assistant, from the National Geographic film library where she was working as a film researcher. She is interested in a career change towards conservation work and has joined OHP with a view to getting some experience in the field before deciding on her next move, perhaps back into higher education. She will work an initial period of four months, with a view to possibly staying longer.
Anthony Hurford - Field Manager
Anthony is our Project Field Manager and has been with the project since joining as a PA at the end of August 2003. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 1999 with honours in Environmental Science and carried out three weeks field research in Nepal for his undergraduate project. He worked previously in Indonesia for 14 months and Switzerland for 3 years. His longer term aspirations lie in the field of naturopathic medicine.
