Volunteer to Teach Sport to Children in Zambia
Francis Malundu Nakonje - Project Staff
Francis is a social worker and a certified youth sports administrator, a mini basketball coach and recently was appointed as the provincial handball coordinator. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in children and youth development. He has various trainings in sport for children, sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS preventive education, modified physical education and sports coaching. He has more than 7 years of coaching and teaching children and youth sports activities that integrate health education. His passion for sport for development work started after volunteering with a number of sport for development organisations in the inner city of Lusaka and which later prompted him to start a sports initiative in a rural town of Monze called (community initiative for sport and education) for the rural children and youth which later came to be known as Beyond Sport Inc’. He is a self motivated, hard working and result oriented man whose efforts, passion and vision for rural youth has always been to educate and empower them and provide them with opportunities to participate in sport, health and education activities that promote social development and healthy lifestyles among the youth.
Danny Chibanza - Project Staff
Danny has been instrumental in the creation of BSI community project structures. He has a wealth of experience in administration, fundraising and volunteer management and coordination with his personnel management skills and is currently the Head of Programmes at BSI in charge of programme development, volunteer recruitment and community outreach. His focus and vision has always been to see BSI self sustained and operating at national level. His business and fundraising strategies has helped to sustain BSI activities and ongoing.
