Join community projects with this pioneering charity in Rwanda, Africa

Since it was founded in 1978, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International (DFGFI) has been dedicated to the conservation and protection of gorillas and their habitats in Africa through research, conservation action, education and partnerships. The Bwindi gorillas of Uganda and the mountain gorillas now number only about 350 each and are among the more endangered species of the world. With the ecology of their natural environment always under threat, much work is needed to save these amazing great apes. By volunteering to join community projects in Rwanda, you can help DFGFI with this work.

After spending so much time with the mountain gorillas in Rwanda I felt that I had been given a gift. It's appropriate that I try to do whatever I can to help protect them.

Sigourney Weaver (Honorary Chair of DFGFI)
