Rainforest Expedition in the Ecuadorian Amazon

What's Included
All food and accommodation; airport transfers; in country transportation to rainforest base; expedition equipment and training; ‘Introduction to TEFL’ training; the comprehensive training necessary for research techniques; overnight satellite camps in the forest to explore the reserve; a four-day Amazonian adventure exploration side trip; an emergency first aid course; 24-hour in-country support and a 24-hour emergency phone line.
What's Not Included
International flights, medical and travel insurance, any visa costs.
The Booking Process
Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information
You will need to fly to Ecuador's international airport ‘Mariscal Sucre’, in the country’s capital city of Quito. Our expedition staff are available to meet you at the airport and transfer you to a hostel in the city if your arrival is scheduled for the afternoon or evening prior to the expedition start date. Please make sure you arrive before the start date of the expedition or ensure that you are at the meeting point by 9am on the first day at the very latest. Do not rely on international flights arriving on the morning of the start date of the expedition, you will risk missing the start of the expedition.
