Volunteering in Brazil
Brazil is a vast country the fifth largest in the world both in terms of area and population. Therefore as well as having a large and very diverse population, Brazil also has great areas of sparsely populated land. One of these vast expanses is the Amazon Rainforest (half of which lies within Brazil), which teems with an abundance of exotic species of plants and animals; making it a perfect place for the adventurous to find themselves volunteering overseas.
From lush jungles filled with the sounds of birds to vibrant urban jungles filled with the sounds of samba music, volunteering in Brazil is filled with a variety of sights and sounds. Experience the remarkable and ambitious capital city, Brasilia, which has great open expanses and a surprisingly quiet feel to it; enjoy the celebrated Rio de Janeiro experiencing the glitzy decadence, famous beaches and fascinating ghosts of its colonial history; or enjoy a football match or the carnaval (the annual festival season) in any of Brazils famous and extraordinary cities. With a variety of other hidden gems, including the 275 waterfalls that make up the IguaƧu Falls, volunteering in Brazil will amaze and appeal.
