Volunteering in Bolivia
Situated entirely within the Tropic of Capricorn, Bolivia is blessed with a range of landscapes that vary from the rigid peaks of the Andes in the western highlands to the lush Amazonian rainforests of Santa Cruz in the east. Bolivias plethora of well known and high-altitude sites include the highest lake in the world, Lake Titicaca, which includes its own Copacabana (an idyllic and historic town) and La Paz, the highest capital city in the world.
Whatever you are looking to do, Bolivia is an excellent and unique place in which to volunteer abroad. Wander through the Witches Market buying local handcraft and native Aymará herbal remedies, visit ancient Inca ruins on the Isla del Sol, trek through the lush rainforest, hike across the largest high plateau outside of Tibet, or party away at the popular festivals of Gran Poder and the Carnival of Oruro. Volunteering in Bolivia is likely to be an experience you will never forget.
