Volunteering in Vanuatu
This collection of 83 islands which lie about a thousand miles east of northern Australia is an incredible pacific paradise. As part of the Australasian ecozone, the islands of Vanuatu are covered in gorgeous tropical rainforest and are surrounded by seas that provide some of the best diving in the world. With a wealth of coral reefs and shipwrecks to explore, some incredibly diverse and beautiful birdlife, and towering, smoking volcanic peaks, the islands of Vanuatu are a tropical haven for anyone who wants to volunteer abroad.
When volunteering in Vanuatu, you will be privileged to meet friendly people from a truly ancient culture. On some of the more remote islands the ancestral traditions are still followed so closely that you may well feel you have been transported to an ancient world. Vanuatu is a truly different and special place in which to volunteer overseas just make sure you dont forget to try the Pentecost Land Dive, the local tradition which gave rise to the modern extreme sport of bungee jumping!
