Volunteering in Malaysia
As the population of Malaysia is a fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous groups, Malaysia is a unique and interesting country in which to find volunteer work. The country contains a rich tapestry of cultures and customs, boasting a huge variety of annual festivals, a tantalising mixture of cuisines, and a religious plurality that means mosques, temples and churches are often juxtaposed side-by-side. In its big cities, gleaming glass towers show Malaysia’s progressive industrialisation; in rural areas, traditional architecture often forms the backdrop to some vibrant craft markets.
When volunteering in Malaysia, you will have the chance to visit beautiful beaches, superb mountains and some of the best national parks in Asia. Within these national parks, you can explore caves, go wildlife watching, raft down rivers and enjoy a number of breathtaking treks through spectacular scenery.
