Volunteering in Zambia
Zambia is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, which has masses of wide open spaces that are rich in wildlife and beauty. Zambia contains some of the most striking natural scenery in the continent, including impressive rivers containing floating hippos and crocodiles, spectacular national parks teeming with a variety of wonderful animals and birds, and a number of breathtaking waterfalls, including the renowned Victoria Falls. Volunteering in Zambia will take you to this beautiful country to have a number of trips and adventures.
As most of the population of Zambia lives in urban areas, rural Zambia is spectacularly sparse and untouched. Yet the remaining communities that live in the rural areas of Zambia often suffer from the lack of access there is to employment, education or adequate healthcare. By volunteering in Zambia with GVI, you will help the children of these rural communities to maintain healthy lifestyles through sport, and address the major concern of HIV/Aids among Zambian youths.
