Volunteering in Mozambique
Mozambique is a beautiful yet remarkably undiscovered country, which has plenty to offer the relatively few people who venture here. Volunteering in Mozambique takes you to live in a mesmerising country of enchanting colonial architecture, palm-fringed beaches and a variety of islands dotted with historical monuments. Here volunteers can go scuba diving to see abundant marine life, water-skiing along Mozambique’s stunning coastline, hiking through little-visited mountains, and exploring in a number of parks and reserves to get glimpses of rare birds and big game.
The remnants of an unhappier past are visible, yet since the 1992 peace deal ended 16 years of civil conflict in Mozambique, the country has made remarkable strides and has once again opened its doors to tourism. Therefore anyone thinking of volunteering in Mozambique should do it soon...before the tourist masses do!
