What's Included

Pre-departure support, a 24-hour emergency phone line, professional instruction throughout from qualified and experienced guides. Transportation for the duration of the course, all food, tents, all group cooking equipment, all technical climbing equipment, all snow equipment, all safety equipment including first aid kits (except personal prescription medications), maps and compasses, Wilderness First Aid Practitioner qualification, Leave No Trace Practitioner qualification, Outdoor Leader certification.

What's Not Included

Transportation to and from Coyhaique, including international and domestic flights, Personal equipment, Lodging before and after the course, Gratuity for your guides.

The Booking Process

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information

Arrive into Balmaceda Airport (BBA) where good transfer buses are available to Coyhaique (45 mins). Local accommodation can be sought for you in Coyhaique prior to the commencement of the expedition.
