Thailand English Teacher Trainee Scheme - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROGRAM IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

10 week teaching placement

Trainees that complete their 10 week expedition at the GVI expedition base in Ao Luk, Thailand have the opportunity to move on to an additional 10 week volunteer teaching placement in communities requesting in assistance throughout South East Asia. GVI works with partner organizations in the region to meet the growing needs of local people to gain valuable English language skills. Possible placements include teaching school children and communities in border towns or hill tribe villages in the north of Thailand to working with University students and professors working to teach and gain social justice and humanitarian law.

This 10 week placement will offer you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the local community with endless opportunities to enjoy the local culture and customs. The teaching will provide you with the opportunity to put your new TEFL skills to work in a creative and challenging environment. And most importantly you will be doing a service for communities and organizations that will benefit from these valuable language skills.

Location will depend on the need of communities at the time of your placement. Accommodation may be in a home stay family or a private room, depending upon location. You will learn more about your placement when you finish your TEFL qualification.
