This year GVI is offering free English classes to high school kids in Boca Vieja, a community neighbouring El Cocal where we normally work.

This has been a great experience for the community and the volunteers. Volunteers have been focusing on conversation, pronunciation and vocabulary. It is great for the kids to have exposure to native English speakers to help them with their pronunciation.  Volunteers have been doing role plays based around tourism, shopping, clothes and basic conversation.  

Volunteers Emily and Christina have been leading the classes so far and have been doing a great job, it seems they are learning just as much Spanish as the kids are learning English!

This has been a great opportunity for GVI and hopefully we will continue to work with kids in Boca Vieja after the vacation period. As always, the project is growing and growing!
