The volunteering was not as I expected it to be, it was by far better than in my dreams. There is nothing as satisfying as the feeling of achieving something that will last and will help communities. You have the chance of being a part of an important project and also have the possibility of interacting with the Nepalese people. You learn a huge amount of Nepalese traditions and about their lifestyle but you also learn about the different countries other volunteers come from. By volunteering you are guaranteed to have crazy laughs caused by other volunteers who will soon be a part of your heart for an undefined amount of time. An inexplicable bond is created between you and helps you stay motivated for the long the trek. My only regret about volunteering in Nepal was not staying longer. I remember being scared of the trek but finally the enthusiastic and cheerful attitude of the other volunteers made it easy and made the time fly by too quickly.
