Trekking to Poon Hill

By Taylor and Agnes 2 years ago
Categories Pokhara

After our first week of volunteering with some amazing kids we were off on a charity trek to Poon Hill.

The trek was challenging but well worth the adventure! After two days of climbing up steps, we reached the top of Poon Hill reaching and altitude of 3210m. From here the view was stunning! Indeed, we could see some of the highest peeks of the world including Dhaulagari, the Annapurnas and even Fishtail Mountain, but that was not all this trek had to offer. On our way back down we had the chance to see a little touristic plane fly below us and were lucky enough to encounter Nepal’s biggest monkeys.

One thing is for sure, we will never forget this amazing experience. We are looking forward to the next adventure Nepal has to offer.
