The Project
Community Renovation and Building Project in Krabi, Thailand
Together with our partners in Ao Luk, Thailand GVI's annual renovation program runs for 2 to 4 weeks each year and focuses on bringing together groups of volunteers skilled and unskilled with local community members and local craftsmen. Together as a team we set out to focus on improving the facilities for the communities we have been assisting throughout the year on our community development programs.
Together with our local partners we support sustainable human development by promoting volunteering and rural and responsible tourism in Ao Luk. The organisation tries to benefit both society and the volunteers. The efforts of our volunteers represent a vital contribution to the community, as by helping on the projects, the volunteers share their energy and time with the people, and as a result, experience Thai culture first-hand. Volunteering on this project, not only gives you an opportunity to give something back to society, but also to experience a new culture by working alongside local community members.
