Amazing!!! Waking up to the sound of Gladiator tree frogs (Hypsiboa boans –frog call tests do pay off !), While finding yourself in a hammock. Our never tiring staff member, Dan, is already up and around gathering wood for our fire so we can have hot tea; that is hot tea with granola.

To go short, this is Sat Camp, it is the epitome of everything this expedition stands for – and this sat camp just has all that is good.

We left yesterday straight after lunch carrying our big backpacks heavy with food, jungle hammocks, tarps, a lot of water and rain gear. First stop humming bird lek!! Sit down and let them come to you and it is everything as amazing as it sounds after not nearly enough time, our guide leader, Dan decided we had to move on to Sat Camp location. Bye bye humming birds I’ll see you next time!

As experienced jungle explorers we all threw our hammocks around trees and made ourselves ready for a walk in a stream. We did find frogs and lizards, which was the objective of our mission, but far more exciting we found opossums!! They seemed to be everywhere - in the water and up the trees. How amazing the jungle can be. It just makes you realize once again.
