Volunteering at the foundation was a very profound experience for me. It was the first time that I ever did anything that was even remotely similar. Being older than the usual volunteer - 56 years old to be exact- I was nervous as to how I would fit it, but I have to say that I truly loved the experience. I loved living in my tent there and being part of such a caring operation. The foundation is run by truly committed people; people who will do without so that the monkeys will benefit from all monies and efforts. The monkeys were the best though and here I was able to work with them hands on. This was the number one concern for me because in many projects you do not really interact with the animals. I could go on and on but suffice it to say that I would absolutely, unequivocally recommend this project for all animal loving people.
