Below is some information on trips and travel options in Argentina.

Included Side Trips

Depending on the season, the research teams have the chance to further experience the Argentine culture during trips to local community festivals in the area. Trekking and exploring some of the most spectacular sites in the work area will also take place (project work and weather permitting).

Optional Side Trips

During your long weekend you could organize a kayak trip in the Lake District, explore the circuito chico around Bariloche on mountain bikes, go fly-fishing or trek between the catered mountain refugios in the Cathedral area close to Bariloche.

Further Travelling Opportunities

Argentina is one of the largest countries in South America so knowing where to start is hard. Why not consider visiting some of the following places; relax in the hot springs of Chos Malal, explore the culturally rich Valles Calchaquíes, interact with the marine life on Península Valdéz, revel in the nightlife of Buenos Aires or learn the Tango, visit the rock paintings and caves in Carolina, and many more. You could take a trip to the most southern city in the world - Ushuaia – where the sun barely sets during the summer months. Or visit the Iguazu waterfalls in the tropical far north of Argentina.
