Volunteering in Peru
The land of Incas, treasure and gold; Peru is a place of imagination and wonder. Here you can explore the ruins of once-great civilizations, climb to the impressive Machu Picchu ruins (The Lost City of the Incas) high on a mountain ridge, fly over the mystical Nazca Lines, and marvel at the hidden gems and impressive architecture of this culturally rich country. Yet Peru is a place of more than just fabulous historical relics, and anyone volunteering abroad is guaranteed to be impressed by the beauty and diversity of the countrys landscape, which varies from the wild majesty of the Andes to the intense splendour of the Peruvian Desert and the lush greens of the Amazon Rainforest.
Though much of Peru has remained relatively unchanged for the last four centuries, its cosmopolitan capital city, Lima, is a buzzing and friendly metropolis. In Peru a rich heritage sits alongside an energetic living society to a stunning backdrop of beautiful landscapes, making it an ideal place in which to find volunteer work.
