What's Included

Pre-departure support, A 24-hour emergency phone line, Professional instruction throughout the expedition by qualified and experienced guides, All internal transportation, All food, Tents, All kayak gear (kayaks, paddles, PFD’s, spray decks, foul weather gear or dry suit), All group cooking equipment, All safety equipment, including first aid kits (except personal prescription medications), Maps and compasses,BCU certification, A Leave No Trace Practitioner qualification, WEA Outdoor Leader Certification.

What's Not Included

Transportation to and from Coyhaique, including international and domestic flights, Personal equipment, Lodging before and after the expedition, Gratuity for your guides.

The Booking Process

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information

Arrive into Balmaceda Airport (BBA), where good transfer buses are available to Coyhaique (roughly 45 mins away). Local accommodation can be sought for you in Coyhaique prior to the commencement of the expedition.
