Fun at the Races

Hey Everyone! This is our first week working in Gordon’s bay and we’re teaching the kids Track and Field. We have to find some of the fastest students in each class to take part in an athletics meet that is coming up in the next month and knowing this has really brought the competitive edge out in a lot of the children.

They’re having a blast racing each other, playing flags and learning how to run relay races. It’s been really nice to be able to have freedom with lesson plans and flex each lesson a bit: especially since the kids are really eager to run!

At the end of our days it’s been good to go to our nice apartment and relax. We usually go out into town at night and so far we’ve had a blast enjoying each other’s company. We’re looking forward to the weekend and excited then to have another week with the kids!
