Location

The expedition takes you to one of the more remote and breathtaking regions of the world. Patagonia is a region of South America spanning both Chile and Argentina. The expedition will move to different locations within the area dependent upon project focus and weather conditions. During the winter the land is a challenging extension to the Antarctic and is a snowy and cold environment. The summer sees Patagonia transformed into beautiful grasslands, hills and mountains with snow capped peaks and glaciers. The majority of each expedition (10 weeks) will be spent in mobile (tented) accommodation with very basic facilities engaging and managing groups of international volunteers from 2 - 10 people. The field base is located in Bariloche where the Country Director and the Science and Logistics Manager are based and field staff spend rest days.
