Location

Positions available in Pez Maya and Mahahual expeditions. Pez Maya is located in Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka’an, Tulum, Quintana Roo. Approximately 3 hours south of Cancun, an hour from Tulum along a rough dirt road into the jungle and set in a pristine Caribbean location. Mahahual is located 4 hours away from Tulum and 2 hours from Chetumal, the area lies on the spectacular Caribbean coast and is surrounded by coral reef, pristine wetlands and further inland, dense jungle.

Description

Manage the Science programme, train Expedition Members in survey and monitoring techniques, teach species recognition, write reports, liase with local partners and Mexico head office. Drive boat, maintain high health and safety standards, aid with logistics, budgeting and community programme.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum PADI Dive Master with boat driving qualifications and experience. Science degree and environmental studies/sustainable development background. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Spanish speaker a distinct advantage. Driving licence.
